Dorian in pole position for Fly Half start

Head Coach Bernard Jackman has confirmed Ebbw Vale favourite Dorian Jones is in line to start for Friday's Guinness Pro14 clash with Edinburgh at Eugene Cross Park.

With Fly Half Gavin Henson ruled out through a hamstring injury and Arwel Robson also picking up a knock after playing the last 15 minutes against Benetton on Sunday, Dorian Jones is the last ten standing for Jackman.

Fortunately for the Dragons Jones has been in fine form for the Steelmen since his last outing for the Dragons in Bordeaux, enjoying a remarkable run of successful kicks.

"Arwel Robson came back from an ankle operation and he was due to be fit this week, but because Gavin was out we put him on the bench against (Benetton) Treviso but we were limited with how much game time we could give him, unfortunately his ankle has flared up, so this is now a great opportunity for Dorian Jones," said Bernard.

"Dorian has played a lot of rugby for Ebbw Vale and he's has had some injuries too this season, but he's been back with Ebbw Vale trying to get some match fitness over the last couple of weeks. He's actually on a run of forty kicks without missing so hopefully that continues this weekend.

"Dorian has good experience and he's back match fit now so as our only fit outside half with Angus O'Brien away with the Wales Sevens it's a great opportunity for Dorian to put his stamp on the team and finish the season in pole position."
