Loosehead Rhodri Jones, born in Aberystwyth, came through the Scarlets academy and represented Llandovery and Llanelli in his early years as a professional. The 30-year-old went on to make over 100 appearances for the region before making the short move to Swansea to join the Ospreys in 2016.
The former Wales U20 prop has also gone on to earn 21 caps for his country and was first called into the senior squad in the autumn of 2011 but he had to wait until the following summer to make his debut against the Barbarians at the Principality Stadium. Jones won his second cap a year later against Japan in Tokyo in 2013 before making three starts in that year’s autumn campaign.
The former Scarlet then featured in all five of Wales 2014 RBS 6 Nations games, starting the final outing against Scotland. The Welsh-speaking prop switched to the Ospreys at the end of the Wales tour to New Zealand in 2016. After six years with the Ospreys, Jones joined the Dragons on a long-term deal ahead of the 2022/2023 season.
