Your Matchday Guide vs Ospreys

Dragons RFC tackle Ospreys in a pre-season clash at Rodney Parade this coming Saturday (kick-off 3pm) - as we return to home soil we have your match day guide to all that is happening in and around our home...

Ticketing Information

Seasons Tickets as well as Tickets for our opening URC Fixtures against Edinburgh, Cardiff, Leinster and Ospreys can be purchased by clicking HERE or call the Ticket Office for more information on 01633 670690 during office hours.

Rugby World Cup

The KLA Community Fan Zone will be showing Argentina vs Chile in the marquee from 2pm and post game we will be showing Fiji vs Georgia from 4.45pm.

Family Activities

A range of inflatables activities will be available across the Training Pitch (accessible from Fan Zone and Main Gate) from 1pm - the marquee bar and KLA Community Fan Zone opens forom 12noon. These activities will be supplemented with a range of Army engagement activities as well as a range of Dragons Community team activities. In addition to the various match day activations in the marquee, a selection of senior players will be on hand from 2pm in the marquee for a Q&A session for autographs and photos.

Retail Promotions

In addition to the Dragons RFC Training Range 23/24, both the new home and away replica kit will be available to purchase in the stadium store from 10am.

Tigers Parachute Display

The Tigers - one of the British Army’s leading parachute display teams - will be making a spectacular landing in order to delivery the match ball (subject to weather conditions) to Chairman, David Buttress, and the Rt, Worshipful, the Mayor of Newport, Councillor Trevor Watkins. The display team will also provide support to the Army with an active role in recruitment and will be on hand to share more information about the Army and the careers available.

Music

Redwood City will be performing in marquee both pre and post Saturday's fixture. The talented teenage band are led by Oscar, a Number Eight from Caerphilly Under-15s (as well as staring as Neil the Baby in the Gavin & Stacey series and the recent Voice the Kids Series!), guitarist Evan Burridge, a scrum half from Penallta RFC Youth, drummer Shay Fergusson and guitarist Peter Doble.

Cashless Stadium

Please note that all Bars inside Rodney Parade are completely Cashless. However, the Stadium Bars will accept all major Debit and Credit Cards.

Stadium Smoking Policy

Rodney Parade is a smoke-free stadium and smoking, or the use of electronic cigarettes is not permitted within the stands. Supporters may smoke and use electronic cigarettes within the designated smoking area – your nearest steward will be able to point you to the nearest smoking area. Supporters are not able to exit and re-enter the stadium for any reasons.

Travel Information

Travelling by Car from the West: Please take Junction 26 from the M4 before taking the 3rd exit off the roundabout onto Malpas Road (A4041). Then proceed through the next 2 sets of traffic lights, keeping to the left-hand lane at the roundabout before taking the second exit off the roundabout. At the next roundabout, take the first exit (across the River Usk) before bearing right onto Chepstow Road. Once on Chepstow Road, take the first right onto Cedar Road followed by the next right onto Corporation Road and the first left onto Grafton Road. Rodney Parade is then situated on the left hand side.

Car Parking

Please note that unfortunately there is no Car Parking availability at Rodney Parade. For Car Parking please follow directions for the City Centre once you have departed the Motorway. Car parks at both Friars Walk and Kingsway are a short walk across the Millennium River Bridge.

Travelling by Bus

Season Members are reminded they qualify for FREE travel with Newport Transport on match days – just show your membership card. Special offer this weekend also for fans aged between five and 15-years-old. Show your match ticket to travel for just £1. For more information on Newport Bus click HERE

Supporters are also encouraged to use transport partners Stagecoach to make the journey to Rodney Parade. Please use the journey planner HERE

Travelling by Train

Newport Train Station is an approximate 10–15-minute walk to Rodney Parade. For Train timetables or any details regarding Transport for Wales please visit the Homepage | TfW. In addition, Transport for Wales have recently launched a new facility to monitor train capacities. This function can be found on the TFW Capacity Checker | TfW.

Travelling by Supporter Coach

Newport Transport facilitate a coach and minibus parking facility, at £35 and £15 respectively. They are situated on 160 Corporation Road, Newport, NP19 0WF; adject to Rodney Parade and therefore an ideal location for visiting supporters.
