Bertranou Named by Los Pumas for Rugby Championship

21/07/2022

Dragons scrum half Gonzalo Bertranou has been named in a 34-man squad by Argentina for the upcoming Rugby Championship.

Bertranou scored twice and featured in all three tests recently for Los Pumas as they claimed a Summer Test series victory voer Scotland.

The 28-year-old – who has made 24 appearances for Dragons - will now represent his country again after being named by Argentina for the clashes with South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

The Pumas will kick off with a double header against the Wallabies at home next month (August 6 and 13) before two away games with the All Blacks (August 27 and September 3) and finish their campaign with a home and away double header against South Africa (September 17 and October 24).

The Rugby Championship will be Argentina’s second of three assignments for 2022. The third, and final, stage will be the November Internationals with Argentina touring England, Wales and Scotland.
