Dragons ensured their return to Guinness PRO14 action was a successful one as they overcame Benetton 26-19 in Treviso.
Dean Ryan’s men had not played since November 1 but tries from Ashton Hewitt, Jamie Roberts and Rhodri Williams set the visitors on their way to a first win over the Italian outfit since 2017 and just their second ever victory at Stadio Monigo.
Front-row duo Cherif Traore and Hame Faiva crossed for the hosts in the first half and a superb late solo score from replacement Tommaso Menoncello sealed a losing bonus point, but Benetton remain in search of their first win of 2020/21.
