09/02/2020

A brave second half fightback from Wales Under-20s saw them trim the lead but go down 36-22 to Ireland Under-20s in the Six Nations in Cork.

Ireland earned the try bonus before the break with flanker Mark Hernan bookending the half. In between Dan Kelly and Lewis Finlay also scored.

Osian Knott's breakaway score gave Wales hope and they earned a penalty try soon after the break. Andrew Smith added Ireland's fifth before Knott got his second Wales try.

Ben Carter, Anuerin Owen, Ewan Rosser, Will Griffiths and Dafydd Buckland all started the game for Wales Under-20s.
