Dragons launched ‘Dragons Deliver’ earlier this year in response to the Coronavirus pandemic – and the scheme is still in operation today for those in need.
In a bid to ensure the most vulnerable throughout Gwent have the support they need during the crisis, Dragons Deliver is spearheaded by our Community team.
Our Dragons Community team run a diverse range of initiatives to foster engagement in sport and inspire the next generation.
Dragons Deliver is a natural progression to provide a vital lifeline for many, in a region that continues to be hit hard by Covid-19.
From the very start of the pandemic, Dragons has offered support to the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and NHS by hosting a testing centre at Rodney Parade.
Dragons Deliver, which operates across the whole of Gwent, aims to support that and connect isolated communities through the delivery of essentials and prescriptions.
Mark Jones, Managing Director at Dragons, explains: “Playing our part in the local community is the at heart of what we’re about at the Dragons and in times of crisis people stick together to help their community.
“The Dragons Deliver project encapsulates that we continue to run it today to help those in need during the festive period.”
