Indigo Premiership Player Draft Confirmed

Club Captains Rhys Jenkins and Ashley Sweet at the launch of Indigo Premiership
05/09/2019

The semi-professional teams within our region play an important part in providing appropriate competition and development for the next generation of Dragons players.

Last season a draft for players was held and these players will be retained by Newport and Ebbw Vale, the two Premiership clubs in the Dragons region, for 2019/20 season.

To focus further on the development of our academy players, the new draft focussed on the placement of those players whose plans require game time within the Welsh Premiership.

For unallocated players in our senior squad, Dragons will work closely with the teams as and when players require game time throughout the season. Dragons will also be looking to work with our Championship clubs to give our younger academy players opportunities at senior level.

Ebbw Vale RFC
