EConnor Edwards and Dan Babos look ahead to Friday’s game as the Dragons face their final match at Rodney Parade this week.

Centre Connor Edwards joined Dan Babos at the Sport Relief challenge at Sainsbury’s in Newport this week.

“We’ve had a tough week back in training following the last game, we were all disappointed with the result and we felt we didn’t show what were capable of, so I think this week back at Rodney Parade with the home fans with us, it’ll be a good opportunity to prove ourselves and make amends for the mistakes we made.

The Dragons will welcome back Cory Hill and Elliot Dee into the squad for Friday’s game against Toyota Cheetahs and Edwards is thrilled to see them back.

“Everyone has seen them both playing at the Six Nations and they’ve been performing week in, week out for Wales, so they’ll be a great addition for us and will lift the team spirit. Hopefully they can bring some of the experience back to us from the six nations.

The energy Elliot brings to every game is phenomenal whilst Cory has become one of the main players for Wales and he gives good impact. I think he made 48 tackles without missing any, which speaks volumes of his works rate and his professionalism.”

After making his debut in the British & Irish Cup for the region, Connor made his Pro14 debut this season alongside a dozen other players that have done so for the Dragons this season,

“We’ve got a lot of youth,” said Connor, “but then amongst it now we are starting to get a lot of senior players that are helping us through, guiding us and helping us with our experience in places were lacking. Cory and Elliot coming back with that extra experience, can only help some of the younger boys come through with that experience.”
