Injury Update | Robson set for hamstring surgery

Dragons suffered an injury blow ahead of the European Challenge Cup fixture against ASM Clermont Auvergne last weekend with fly half Arwel Robson suffering a ruptured hamstring injury in training.

However, this week player availability is expected to return to above 85% with the anticipated return of Jared Rosser, Harrison Keddie and Richard Hibbard following concussion. 

Injury updates – Being Assessed

Arwel Robson (hamstring) – Arwel suffered a Grade 4 hamstring injury in training. This will require surgery which is booked in for tomorrow (Tuesday) in London. Arwel will then commence a rehabilitation and recovery programme with a predicted return towards the end of the season.

James Sheekey (hip) – James is scheduled to have a hip injection today (Monday) to aid his return to training by the end of the week.

Tyler Morgan (concussion) – Tyler suffered a concussion in the Clermont fixture and will now commence return to play protocols.

Injury update – not available for selection  

Leon Brown (thumb) – After undergoing an op in Leeds, Leon’s thumb fracture was successfully reduced and a second operation will not be needed.

Ashton Hewitt (shoulder) – Ashton had a positive three-week review last week, with the surgeon pleased with his progress and x-ray results.

Ollie Griffiths – After injury in the Northampton fixture, Ollie is already progressing well and is expected to return in six weeks.
