The Disciplinary Hearing Committee met in Edinburgh earlier today to consider the Citing Complaint made against Elliot Dee (No 2) following an incident which occurred in the 77th minute of the Guinness PRO14 Round 11 fixture at Rodney Parade when the player made contact with referee Andrew Brace.

The Citing Commissioner in charge made the complaint for an alleged infringement of Law 10.4 (m) – Acts contrary to good sportsmanship. A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship in the playing enclosure.

After reviewing the video clips and reports, and hearing explanations from the player and his coach, the Hearing Committee held that an act of foul play had been committed but that it did not merit an on-field Red Card and so the Citing complaint was not upheld.

Elliot Dee is free to play with immediate effect.
