Originally from Carmarthen Gustafson began his Dragons career as he made his first appearance against Scarlets after captaining the Wales U20s in the 2007 Six Nations. The West Wailian was an immediate success at Rodney Parade possessing strength in the tight and mobility in the loose, notching up 21 appearances for the Region in his first season. During his time with the Region, Gustafson also coached the Dragons U16s side.

Alongside Jeffries, Stankovich and Gustafson, Scott will also be departing from the Dragons. Nick Scott joined the Region last season, from London Welsh and made his debut for the Men of Gwent against Connacht in 2015.

In addition to these four players Welsh International Taulupe Faletau will leave to join Aviva Premiership side Bath Rugby. Faletau has made over 100 appearances for the Men of Gwent and has been with the Region since 2009-2010. During his time with the Dragons the 25-year-old earned his Wales U20 International cap, as well as making his first appearance for Wales during the 2011 Barbarians Tour of England & Wales. In 2013 the world class number 8 was called up into the British and Irish Lions for their tour of Australia.

Dragons head coach Kingsley Jones commented: “On behalf of everyone at the Dragons, I would like to thank everyone listed for their services and hard work whilst they were with the Region.

“I would like to recognise each and everyone of these individuals and wish them the very best of luck in the future, both on and off the pitch. All of these players have contributed to the squad in their own way and I would like to thank them all of their time, and let them know that there will always be a welcome at Rodney Parade for them.”
