Perform at the Parade Launches

Sunday afternoon’s match against Edinburgh saw the first installment of the new initiative which allows up and coming local performers the opportunity to showcase their talent on a matchday.

Sunday’s three chosen performers each sang in front of hundreds of supporters gathered in the We Fight Any Claim Family Zone ahead of the match.

First to perform was Charlotte White from Newport who is currently concentrating on her music skills during a gap year. Charlotte played the guitar for her performance and also plays the piano.

Second to perform was Alicia Dean who is 16 and from Tredegar. Alicia has been signing for Charity for the last 3 years and has recently won an award in her school for talent, effort and innovation in music.

Third to perform was Jack Perrett who is a soloist from Newport and recorded his debut EP “what you saying” in October 2015. This has been played on BBC Radio Wales, Nation Radio and GTFM.

Next season more musicians, bands, dancers and freestylers will be invited to apply and perform in the WFAC Family Zone, around the concourse areas and even on the field of play before the match and at half time. Please contact mike.sage@rodneyparadeltd.com for more details.
