Wardle is looking forward to Nottingham friendly

Newport Gwent Dragons centre Ross Wardle is looking forward to running out at the Dragons training centre in Ystrad Mynach this evening after recovering from a long term injury.

Wardle injured his shoulder just seven games after making a return from the knee ligament injury that had ended his previous campaign. The versatile centre suffered the blow in the early stages of a Pro12 win against Zebre at Rodney Parade. After months on the sidelines recuperating he is back to full fitness and looking forward to tonight’s run out. Wardle commented: “I am looking forward to the Nottingham game because I've been out for such a long time in the past two seasons.

"It's not been a great time but I am excited at getting back and hopefully staying fit for a while."

In addition to Wardle having his first run out newcomer Adam Warren will be one of five new faces that will run out to face Nottingham.  Commenting on his fellow back, Wardle said: “Adam has settled in well and is different to what we've got.

"He has got a very good skill set and is more pass-minded.

"Adam is a good talker and runner but is also strong at distributing, which maybe we have been missing in midfield."

Tickets are currently on sale for tonight’s match from the Dragons training centre in Ystrad Mynach, along with our club shop being on site too!
