Fly half Steffan Jones was also put through his paces and added to the score with a conversion and a penalty kick.

At half time the men of Gwent were storming ahead with a score of 6-20, but after the Blues had a good talking to themselves they managed to claw the score back to an exciting 20-18 finish.
