YOUNG PEOPLE ARE ENJOYING RUGBY AT RODNEY PARADE WHILST ALSO GAINING VALUABLE QUALIFICATIONS
The latest Prince’s Trust course that is running throughout this week has been another notable success for the community team based at Rodney Parade. The young men who have been participating in all the different strands of the course met for the first time on Monday and since then have bonded into an eager team to meet the high demands put on them.
There comments about the course speak volumes about their attitudes and determination to succeed.
Austin - I am really enjoying the programme, I am expanding my general knowledge and my rugby skills are improving.
Lee - The course is very satisfying and its fun to learn about rugby and gym work. Gaining real qualifications is a big bonus.
Kieran - The course is developing my confidence and enthusiasm due to its practicality. I really like being here rather than at home doing nothing.
Liam - I’m enjoying working with the others and achieving the goals set for us. The team work is top class.
Geraint - It's been brilliant, the set up is fantastic and very welcoming. The course is great and a good opportunity to prove to people that I am dedicated and looking to gain qualifications.
All - All of the lads have said that its great meeting new friends and working together as part of a team. We have all developed more confidence and are feeling far more motivated.
The lads will graduate on Friday this week and will be presented with their impressive portfolio of achievements which should prove very beneficial when seeking employment. On completion of the course this week the lads will seek further follow up support from the Prince's Trust and the Dragons to ensure their focus and motivation continues into the future.
