SQUAD FOR GLASGOW HEINEKEN CLASH

Head Coach Paul Turner has named his Newport Gwent Dragons squad for the final Heineken Cup Pool 6 match against Glasgow Warriors this Sunday at Rodney Parade.

Head Coach Paul Turner has named his Newport Gwent Dragons squad for the final Heineken Cup Pool 6 match against Glasgow Warriors this Sunday at Rodney Parade.

Tom Riley returns to the squad having been rested last weekend, whilst Toby Faletau is likely to play after having to miss the trip to Toulouse.

Captain Tom Willis said “it’s our last chance to stand tall in a very challenging European campaign. We have a very healthy respect for Glasgow, they’re a very good side, we seem to have played them a lot in recent seasons. It’ll be a tough game but we’re optimistic about winning at home.”

Paul Turner is impressed with his team’s next opposition: “I wasn’t surprised by their win against Wasps, they’re a capable team. They have a good set-piece and are well coached. They’ve been without some big players in Morrison, Barclay and Evans but I’m sure some of them will be back this weekend. It’ll go down to the wire, and there are no dead-rubber matches in rugby.”

The Men of Gwent were beaten 21-13 at Firhill in the opening Heineken fixture this season, although the Dragons were victorious last time they faced the Warriors in Newport, winning 23-11 in September.

Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm and tickets are available now from the Rodney Parade TIcket Office (01633 674990) and online.
