Following the postponement of tomorrow’s game against the Blues due to a frozen pitch, Rodney Parade are inviting supporters down to enjoy a Christmas drink at the clubhouse.
All draught beers will be £2 per pint and food will also be available. Any surviving sporting fixtures will be on the big screen with music and games organised for the kids.
Stadium Manager Mark Jones said, “We understand that supporters are bitterly disappointed about tomorrow’s game. The staff were all looking forward to the match and as soon as it was clear that the game could not go ahead, we started to look at ways to give supporters their day out even if the rugby has had to be put on hold.
“Obviously the rugby is the most important thing, but we know that the Christmas derby is an opportunity to get together with friends and fellow supporters to enjoy the festive spirit and a drink or two. The response we had for the dig for victory campaign shows how dedicated our supporters are and it is important to us to try to give as much back as we can.”
The Clubhouse will be open from 12 with food available from 1pm.
