The Newport Gwent Dragons will be in attendance all week at the National Eisteddfod in Blaenau Gwent, with the opening weekend getting off to a roaring start with hundreds of Dragons, and soon-to-be Dragons, fans flocking to the Dragons area on the Maes.
A number of senior squad members are on hand to assist the Dragons’ community development officers running skill sessions on the Maes everyday at 11am and 2pm, aimed at budding rugby stars.
The Dragons who are based at Ebbw Vale RFC, will be holding an open training session at the Eisteddfod on Thursday August 5.
The Dragons also have a mobile shop at the venue offering supporters not only the chance to pre-order the new Gilbert kit ahead of the 2010-11 season but also purchase a unique range of Dragons merchandise designed specifically for the Eisteddfod
