Dragons Academy Provides International Players

The Dragons Academy will provide players for Wales U21 and U19 matches this weekend as the Six Nations Championship kicks off.

There are six players in the U19 side who face England at the Stoop Memorial Ground tonigh (Friday).

At U21 level Academy member Will Jones is named on the replacements bench as the U21 Welsh side begin their defence of the Six Nations title at Worcester. Dragons development player Aled Thomas is named on the replacements bench also while Newport club player Phil Osborne will start in the front row.

In total seven Academy members are on international duty this weekend.

Meanwhile there are four Dragons representatives in the Wales senior side with Hal Luscombe, Ian Gough and Michael Owen in the starting XV while Gareth Cooper is named on the replacements bench.

Wales U21 - Will Jones, Aled Thomas, Phil Osborne
Wales U19 - James Lewis, Ashley Smith, Rob Lewis, Jamie Corsi, Lewis Evans and Jimmy Norris.

The Rodney Parade clubhouse will show the England versus Wales clash live on the big screen and there will be curry and rice available for supporters. The bar will open at 12 noon and supporters can watch the first Six Nations match when Ireland take Italy at 1.30pm.
