Collection & Charity Support

In support of local and national charities, Dragons provide the opportunity to perform a collection at each home match of the season. This offer proves very popular as it enables valuable funds to be raised.

The collectors also receive up to a six complimentary tickets to watch the match after their efforts in collecting.

Throughout the 2019/20 season we will be proudly supporting three local charities, who feature on our playing kits.

The new all black home kit carries the distinct logo of Sparkle – Helping Special Children Shine.

As the Serennu Children’s Centre’s official main charity, Sparkle have to raise more than £600,000 every year to fund the vital services they support. That is only possible through generous donations and the help of the general public. The centre provides access to many different services and care from doctors, therapists, nurses and psychologists to social workers, family liaison officers and play workers all under one roof. This means children don’t have to travel to different places for their treatment and care, providing consistency and support to the whole family. More than 300 children visit the centre every week.

The new blue away kit features the logo of St David’s Hospice Care.

St. David's provides hospice care to over 2,000 people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, including access to the Newport Day Hospice and the new 15 bed in-patient unit. The charity provides, and continues to develop, a free and comprehensive palliative care service of excellence throughout Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen and beyond for people, their families and carers facing a progressive life-limiting illness which is no longer curable. Rodney Parade hosted the charities music festival Portstock this summer.
